This Sepik cruise was scheduled to depart on April 17, on April 15  2019 we experienced an electrical storm Which resulted in very rough sea. The seas subsided on April 16 and I suggested to our guests that we depart a day earlier which was eagerly accepted.

This resulted in a very smooth voyage from Madang to the Sepik and gave us additonal time to visit places that would be otherwise impossible.

This included Boisa and Manam Island which like always was highlight.

Dame Carol Kidu, Miss Pacific Islands (Leoshina Kahira), Molly O'Rourke all were initiated to Sepik Culture.

Everyone enthusiastically took part in every excursion, despite torrential rain experienced between Angoram and Tambanum.

The flooded villages did not deter the visits, in fact it allowed us to access some villages by boat. We were all well received along the Sepik River and most of our guests purchased valuable artefacts, carvings and handicraft.

The return voyage to Madang was again smooth.

We look forward to seeing you again in PNG. Thankyou
